
Join us as we welcome internationally renowned Norwegian Pianist Oda Voltersvik in concert in Watford City. Oda, “(… ) an extraordinary Scandinavian artist!” (Per Brevig, Musicians Club New York), has performed at venues and festivals such as Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, Victor Borge Hall, Wigmore Hall, St Martin in the Fields, the Norwegian Opera House, Palermo Classica Festival, Paul Constantinescu International Festival and Bergen International Festival (May 2025). She has achieved great reviews internationally on her recordings “Neo” (solo), “Firebird” (solo) and “Khoreia” (duo). In 2017, she won the first prize of the Bradshaw&Buono International Competition and in 2021 – 2022 she achieved the honorable work grant from the Norwegian Arts Council. Since her “Master in Performance” from the Royal College of Music and “Artist Diploma” from Trinity Laban (London, with distinction from the Intercollegiate Jury), Oda has been managing her Volt&Potenza duo, Volt Ensemble and her solo concert tours and projects. Currently, Oda is often concert touring and appearing with orchestras in the US with a visa for “Individuals with extraordinary ability in the arts”.
Her recital program for the Long X Arts Foundation is a contribution to the bicentennial anniversary in 2025 of the first Norwegian settlers in America. Piano solo works by Edvard Grieg (1843 – 1907), Harald Sæverud (1897 – 1992) and Geir Tveitt (1908 – 1981) will be included.
